IT & TELECOM DIGEST (https://www.ittelecomdigest.com) is the foremost and most authoritative magazine on the Information and Communications Technology industry in Africa. Published in Nigeria, published since January 2000, it caters to the interest of the entire African continent for the world. It is a must read for investors, experts, governments, academia and everyone with interest in ICT in Africa.
In May 2003 the magazine won the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa first prize Award on Reporting ICT Research and Innovation in the first African Information Society Initiative (AISI) Media Awards by the UN ECA. It is the only ICT magazine in Africa in which Mr. Yoshio Utsumi, as Secretary-General of the ITU contributed a special article (the special edition for the ITU TELECOM AFRICA 2001 which held in Johannesburg, South Africa.).

In the year 2002, IT & Telecom Digest instituted the Nigerian Information Technology and Telecom Awards (NITTA), the benchmark for measuring performance and rewarding enterprise, quality of service delivery and promotion of healthy competition in the ICT sector. NITTA holds yearly, and attracts the cream of the industry and government. The entire ICT industry in Nigeria looks forward to NITTA each year with great excitement. The magazine also initiated the Stakeholders’ Forum.
Other events initiated by IT & Telecom Digest included the West African ICT Congress (WAFICT), the African Telecom Hall of Fame Lecture Series as well as the African Telecom Hall of Fame Awards.
In January 2011, Fairpros International Trade Fair Marketing – the German company that represents key Government-owned event organisers in various German cities, including Messe Berlin, Messe Nuremberg, Messe Cologne, Hannover Messe among others, for the entire Sub-Saharan Africa, appointed IT & Telecom Digest its Nigerian Representative.
