At a time when the world is agog with exponential growth in the ICT sector, Nigeria stands solitary - not appreciating the unceasing quantum leaps and not having enough, if any information at all, to join the growing melee.

The economy was practically bombarded with all manners of platform offering information about and on other economies - none about Nigeria in the Information and Communication sector.

Many an investor would ponder; many researchers would wonder and much international institution actually speculated about the IT sector in Nigeria. None ever got authoritative, reliable and concise information that could help them forecast about the country and therefore invests in it.

This was the problem faced by both local and foreign investors until the year 2000.

IT & TELECOM DIGEST came therefore to fill the big vacuum, to bridge the gap and to quench all thirst about authoritative information in the highly dynamic ICT sector in Nigeria.

This journey started in January 2000. However, the yearning to fulfill the dream of the magazine had been going on almost a decade before the magazine eventually got launched. Some of its founders had pioneered specialised reporting in the sector as far back as 1993. The magazine's launching, therefore, was the realisation of a dream long, long nourished.
