This year’s ITU Telecom World, holding in Bangkok, Thailand, got underway this Monday, 14 November 2016, with the formal opening performed by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in the presence of HE Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister, Thailand, ITU Secretary-General Houlin Zhao and distinguished guests from 59 countries around the world.
“Telecom World is the leading showcase of the technology industry,” said HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn during the Opening Ceremony in Bangkok.
“The event provides investment opportunities and is a place to share experience and knowledge,” she added.
The ITU Telecom World series is a unique international platform for influential figures from government and industry to connect with start-ups and digital entrepreneurs in the ICT sector, to exhibit and explore partnership solutions, investment opportunities, shared ideas and best practices.
This year’s event runs from November 14 to 17.
