Come October 19 and 20, public relations practitioners as well as media and communications stakeholders will gather in Lagos at a summit being organised by the Lagos Branch of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and focused to deepen their skill-set in the digital era.
Tagged ‘Lagos Digital PR Summit’, the Lagos branch of the NIPR described the event as “first of its kind in Sub Saharan Africa.”
Chairman, Lagos State Chapter of the NIPR, Olusegun McMedal in a statement announcing the event, wrote:
“The Lagos Digital PR Summit is focused on achieving collective intelligence with a view to sharpen the skillset of communicators with high-level digital media strategies, tactics and how-to’s so they can do their jobs better, train their teammates, and lift their campaign results on social media”.
Explaining that the event is being held in partnership with Microsoft and Google, among others, McMedal stated in the statement that the event is “an experiential gathering of communicators focused on achieving collective intelligence to equip practitioners with high-level digital media strategies and tactics aimed at increasing their effectiveness to lift their campaign results on social media.”
The theme of the summit is: New Media: Public Relations Practice in Networked Communities. It will hold at the Nigerian Institute of Management, Lagos.
