Glo’s SIM registration promo winners get N1bn cheques

Twenty lucky winners, including a Professor and a retiree, who have won prizes in the Glo N1 Billion SIM registration promo, have been presented with their cheques of N1 million each at a special presentation ceremony held at Globacom’s corporate headquarters in Lagos.

The winners include Adetayo Shakiru Sanni, Ajibade Oloruntoba, Alabi Fatai Olawale, Musa Jimoh and Awaye Abosede Adeola. Others are Adebayo Moses, Oladejo Tunde, Jide Adebayo, Akinbobola Raphael and Odetayo Afolabi. One of the winners, Mrs Awaye Adeola, who got a call that she won N1 million in the promo just 6 days after her retirement from the Oyo State civil service said she was grateful to God and to Glo for the special blessing.
“I never expected this just six days after starting my retirement. I was not sure of what to do next. But now I am grateful to God and to Glo for using this to open a new door of opportunity for me”, she said.
Another winner, Adetayo Sanni said he was pleasantly surprised when he got confirmation that he had won N1 million in the promo on his wife’s birthday. “Winning N1 million for just registering my SIM is pure divine intervention. I want to thank Glo very much for rewarding their subscribers on a regular basis. I am now going to rule my world”, he said.

Addressing the winners, Globacom’s Group COO, Mohamed Jameel, who was represented by the Head of Value Added Services, Samson Isa said the prize presentation was in fulfilment of Globacom’s promise to reward its subscribers with fantastic prizes for registering their SIMs and to give them a good reason for joy during the Yuletide season.

“We are here to present prizes of N1 million each to some of the new winners that have emerged in the Glo N1 Billion promo. The prizes are intended to reward them for registering their SIMs while serving as a token of appreciation for their loyalty and patronage. We also hope the prizes will give our lucky subscribers a special reason to rejoice during the Xmas and New Year season”, he said.

“As more winners are due to emerge with more prize presentations to be held in the weeks ahead, we would like to urge our old and new subscribers to take part in the promo by simply registering their old and new SIMs at our sales and registration outlets such as Gloworlds, Glozones and other dealer outlets”, he added.****

The Glo N1 Billion promo offers new and existing subscribers on the Glo network a total of N1 billion worth of prizes when they register their old SIM cards or buy and register their new SIMs.

In the same vein, a Professor at the Ebonyi State University, Sunday Agwu and nine other lucky subscribers collected their cheques of N1 million each at another special presentation ceremony held in Lagos. Agwu, who said that he was not expecting the Christmas largesse, as he was used only to money which he has earned from his teaching job, was full of praises to Glo for winning N1 million simply by registering his SIM card.

"I want to give thanks to Dr. Mike Adenuga and to Glo for empowering the youth and changing the lives of Nigerians. Initially, I did not believe I had won because I am used to only money that I earn. Now I have seen and believed. I pray that God will grant Glo the enablement to do more for its subscribers and all Nigerians", he said.

The other winners include Mrs. Ojih Chikwendu from Awka, Abubakar Ayuba from Jigawa state, Igwe Chidi Christian from Ebonyi state, Ayakaria Patience from Bayelsa state, Joshua Osayi from Edo state, Salami Segun Peter from Kwara state, Abdusalam Jamiu from Kaduna state, Kolade Ayanfabi from Kaduna state and Donatus Odoemenam from Imo state.

One of the winners, Abubakar Ayuba from Jigawa state, expressed his amazement that it was possible to win N1 million by just being a subscriber on the Glo network, adding that Glo has not only made him a millionaire, but has made it possible for him to board an airplane and visit Lagos for the first time in his life.

"Because of Glo, I am standing before this wonderful audience. Because of Glo, I entered a flight to Lagos for the first time and became a millionaire.  Glo has changed my life and I will ensure that all my family members join the Glo network", he stated.
