Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Mr. Houlin Zhao, was special guest as Nigeria formally opened proceedings at the country’s pavilion at the on-going ITU Telecom World 2015 Congress holding in Budapest, Hungary.
Mr. Zhao took the opportunity to offer words of praises and encourage to Nigeria for the efforts being made to deepen penetration of information and communications technologies throughout the country, especially with small and media scale enterprises and young innovators being at the core of the efforts.
Nigeria’s Ambassador to Hungary, Ambassador Muhammadu Sani Yunusa along with Leader of the Nigerian delegation to the event, Engr. Ubale Maska, Executive Commissioner Technical Services, at the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) who represented the chief executive of the regulatory agency, and Josephine Amuwa, NCC’s Director, Policy Competition and Economic Analysis, welcomed Mr. Zhao to the Nigerian pavilion.
The ITU Telecom World 2015 started on October 12 and will turn through to wrap up on October 15.
